DB Insurance announced on the 8th that it has selected six companies for the seventh round of its "Transportation and Environment Challenge."
The "Transportation and Environment Challenge" supports social ventures addressing social issues in the transportation and environment sectors. Hosted by DB Insurance, organized by the Environmental Foundation, and sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, the challenge marks its seventh year since its launch in 2019, marking the first such initiative in the financial sector.
The recruitment process for this seventh round of applications ran for approximately four weeks, from July 17th to April 17th. Six social ventures were selected after document screening and first and second rounds of in-person interviews. Selected companies will receive support including funding, one-on-one coaching, accelerator training, and investment opportunities.
These include Roen Korea (AI-based child traffic accident prevention solution), Roborod (unmanned road restoration vehicle), Paperpop (eco-friendly paper furniture), Invelab (manufacturing ecosystem restoration seed balls), AP Green (eco-friendly hydrogen production technology), and Viscure (development of transparent adhesives for displays).
A DB Insurance representative stated, "We will actively support the realization of these innovative ideas and contribute to creating a safe and sustainable society."
