The "2025 Gwanak S Valley Startup Festival," hosted by Seoul's Gwanak District Office (Mayor Park Jun-hee) on the 19th, concluded successfully, garnering enthusiastic interest and participation. The event aimed to provide a forum for venture companies, investors, and young people to exchange ideas and technologies.
Gwanak District Office Mayor Park Jun-hee emphasized the meaningful event's role in brightening the future of Gwanak, stating, "Gwanak is no longer a bedroom community, but a city where challenge and innovation are part of everyday life. Gwanak S Valley is at the center of this."
The event was held simultaneously in four spaces within Gwanak District Office. In the main auditorium on the 8th floor, a "Branding Special Lecture" by former CJ Brand Strategy Advisor and CEO Noh Hee-young was held. A "Startup Talk Show" featured CEOs from startups and other companies sharing their experiences, leading to a lively Q&A session with entrepreneurs.
The "Startup Idea Presentation Contest" was held in the basement-level job cafe, offering a glimpse into the creative and innovative ideas of young people. The "Seoul National University Robotics and AI Competition," featuring elementary school students, was held in the annex's seventh-floor auditorium, surprising those present.
The main building's first-floor lobby featured startup promotion booths and a robot experience zone, offering residents a variety of entertainment options, including hands-on experience with robots and robot-delivered ice cream.
The "Gwanak S Valley Startup Festival," which first opened in 2019 as part of the district's startup ecosystem development project, has established itself as Gwanak-gu's flagship "startup festival," with a cumulative total of 153 startups and over 7,400 entrepreneurs participating as of last year, the district explained.
