The Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation announced on the 10th that it held the "Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Awards," named after the founders of Samsung, LG, GS, and Hyosung, at the "Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Youth Forum."
This event, part of a startup competition aimed at fostering global entrepreneurs, focused on spreading the entrepreneurial spirit of the four major corporate founders to local youth.
Approximately 450 people attended the awards ceremony, including executives from the four major corporations, CEOs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), aspiring entrepreneurs, young entrepreneurs, and university students. The "Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Awards" are divided into four categories: the Ho-Am Innovation Award, the Yeon-Am Pioneer Award, the Hyo-Ju Creativity Award, and the Man-Woo Challenge Award, embodying the values of innovation, pioneering, creation, and challenge.
In the startup category, Aslon (Ho-Am Innovation Award), VisCure (Yeonam Pioneer Award), Libotics (Hyoju Creativity Award), and Kkun Co., Ltd. (Manwoo Challenge Award) each won prizes of 10 million won. In the pre-startup category, Aristo, Carestation, Goodullim, and ESG Fashion Tech each received prizes of 5 million won.
The startup category awards were presented by Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation Chairman Kim Jong-wook and Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il, while the pre-startup category awards were presented by Korea Entrepreneurship Incubation Association Chairman Lee Kwang-geun.
Chairman Kim Jong-wook stated, "I hope Jinju will grow into a global startup hub where people learn about K-Entrepreneurship and take on the challenge of starting their own businesses. The foundation will spare no effort in supporting the emergence of second- and third-generation global entrepreneurs in Jinju."
This startup competition was co-hosted by the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation, Gyeongsang National University, and the Korea Entrepreneurship Incubation Association.
