Why did Seohak Ants jump into entrepreneurship?… SBA Open Innovation attracts large corporations

The Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA) held the '2025 Seoul Open Innovation Launching Day' at COEX in Seoul on this day. Through the 'Seoul Startup Hub Open Innovation Program', the SBA is supporting technology verification (PoC) and investment attraction between various large and medium-sized companies and startups. Among them, 12 large companies and one startup each collaborating this year have disclosed their PoC plans.
Seo Jeong-ah, a former financial industry executive, founded Switch One after seeing a demand for technological innovation in the 'currency exchange' sector. The aim is to allow individuals and small businesses to benefit from global financial infrastructure and reduce the burden of currency exchange. Switch One was selected for the NH Nonghyup Open Innovation Program this year. With NH Nonghyup, they plan to develop B2B foreign exchange solutions, such as creating foreign exchange reports using AI (artificial intelligence) and building foreign exchange transaction algorithms.
In addition to NH Nonghyup Bank and Switch One, LG Display-VisCure, Hyundai Construction-Saem, Shinhan Financial Group-Memoryall, DB Group-Gmission, Kakao Mobility-DBD Lab, GS25 Vietnam-Peach AI, Naver Cloud-5Grits, Samsung C&T-Glorent, Samsung Financial Networks-News Stock, SoluM-Azwemake, and Hoban Group-Archi Seoul have announced their respective collaboration plans.
VisCure will work with LG Display to verify the performance of UV-blocking transparent adhesives for vehicle displays using visible light curing technology. Gmission will work with DB Group to demonstrate a QRA (quantitative reliability analysis) data analysis solution utilizing sLM (Lightweight Language Model) based on semiconductor process data. Peach AI will work with GS25 Vietnam to launch a retail media that applies Vision AI technology to stores.
DVD Lab is developing a service related to decision-making based on user research in cooperation with Kakao Mobility. Memory All is preparing 'Daily Anbu', a service for the daily safety care of elderly single-person households, together with Shinhan Financial Group. Azwemake is demonstrating a real-time optimization solution for mart product prices using electronic price tag (ESL) technology with Soluem.
Newjistock is developing a technology that allows investors to invest more easily by enhancing the natural language-based stock AI screener service with Samsung Financial Networks. Arch Seoul is building a QR ordering and payment system for resorts and F&B sectors with Hoban Group. Glorant and Samsung C&T are preparing a plan to establish a personalized learning space in apartment community spaces.
5Grits is utilizing Naver Cloud infrastructure and AI technology for large-scale data processing of inventory management solutions. Saeim is planning to introduce a smart safety and health education solution for construction sites with Hyundai Engineering & Construction.
Kim Jong-woo, head of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency's Startup Division, said, "Seoul Open Innovation Launching Day will be the starting point where startup technologies meet market demands and the starting line for practical technological cooperation."
